Communication skills: Interior designers must be able to effectively communicate their design ideas to clients, as well as collaborate with architects, builders, and other professionals.

 

Technical skills: Interior designers must have a solid understanding of building codes, construction principles, and materials in order to effectively design and plan spaces.
